The Schematics are the most critical document of our planning process. If completed correctly, this "paper version" of the web site allows everyone involved - client, designer, project manager, programmer - to make their initial feedback before any design and programming efforts are wasted. Think of this document as a "recipe" for each page.
The following is the module that details each page. The combination of page modules comprises the Schematic. Just remember the old database saying, "Garbage in, garbage out." You will only get out of this document what you put into it.

Schematic Module Overview
The DTS includes a unique identifier for each page. This identifier is locate at the beginning of each module.
0.0 Page
Page Title: The name that will appear on the top of the web browser as the user views the site. This will also be used to label the web page in the browser.
Navigation: A detail of the controls the user will have available and where they will lead. Bold indicates the current navigation selection, and is not a active choice for the user. Navigation is detailed as follows;

Media: The description/file name of media that will be available on this page, including;
- Graphics (Logos, Icons)
- Photos
- Video (QuickTime, .WAV, AVI)
- Audio (QuickTime, .WAV)
Copy: Text that will appear on the page.
Links: Hyperlinks that the user may click to move to another page or initiate an e-mail, including;
- Text (E-Mail, Page Link)
- Image Map (Graphic, Photo)
- Button (System, Image)
I/O: Input an/or Output fields, including;
- Username (Input)
- Password (Input)
- Search Results (Output)
Action: This describes what the user will do on this page.
Notes: This includes any additional information regarding this page, including;
- Goals of this page
- Technology the user must have
- Restrictions/Requirements of the user
